Alois John Schai, 77, passed away on May 24, 2017. John was born in Butte on Jan. 6, 1940, to Alois “Louie” and Helen Anna Schai. John attended Montana State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. John married Barbara Lee Baker in 1964. They shared over 52 years together.
John was a hard working professional and dedicated family man. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge, loved to golf and play cards. He was an avid sports fan and lived and breathed football season. He was a diehard Seahawks fan and loved the Griz, except when they were playing his Bobcats.
He had a strong presence and was a “to the point” kind of man, but was also one of the most kindhearted and giving people one could have the pleasure knowing. His laugh and smile would fill a room.
He was a very loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
John knew no stranger and he will be dearly missed.
John is survived by his wife Barbara, children; Shawn, Chyrl, Robert and Jonna, brother Neal, sister Anna Lee Smith and grandsons; Kenneth and Jonathan.
