Barbara Zarnik passed away Sunday evening, July 17, 2016, with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 1, 1926, to Innozenz and Regina (Dietz) Meier in rural Mott, North Dakota. She was the second youngest of five children.
She married Anton (Tony) Zarnik on Feb. 25, 1954, in Missoula. To this union three children were born.
Barbara became a caregiver when Tony was diagnosed with M.S. and took care of him for many years. After Tony passed away in 1977, she began work at Goodwill Industries as a donation receiver until her retirement.
Barbara loved all flowers and her son Mike could never plant enough for her. She also loved collecting vases, salt and pepper shakers and playing bingo.
She always looked forward to her great-grandchild Peyton coming over for a visit. Family was important to her. She was preceded in death by her husband Tony; parents Regina and Innozenz; brothers George and Elmer; sisters Eva and Helen and granddaughter Jennie Lou Boushele. She is survived by a son Mike; daughter Alice Perry (and husband Wid); daughter Linda Boushele (husband Lonnie); five grandchildren, Ambur, Bill, Tony, Bobbie and Kyle and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be Friday, July 22, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery Annex. Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
