Beverly Anne Stiner Phillips was born in Hamilton MT July 1, 1935 and passed away on May 26 2016 in Missoula MT.
Bev was raised in Corvallis MT where she lived until she graduated high school. Bev then moved to Missoula to attend Cosmetology School, where she met Allen Phillips and they were married in 1956. Bev owned her own Beauty Shop before selling the shop and working at Esther’s Beauty Shop. During this time Bev had four children Jolene (Bob) Small of Yakima WA, Rich (Sherry) Phillips of Missoula, MT, Brad Phillips of Tacoma WA and Susan (Kevin) Grady of Spokane WA.
Bev became a stay at home mom while she continued doing hair for friends and family along with taking care of and raising her own children, running a daycare, and volunteering for countless projects at Franklin School. In the early 70’s Bev went back to Modern Beauty School to be a receptionist and Instructor and worked there until she retired. In 1997, Bev began volunteering at the Missoula Food Bank and continued until her passing. She loved being at the food bank and loved everyone there.
Bev was proceeded in death by her Mother Ruth her father CQ her sister Alice and her husband Allen. Bev is survived by her four children and their spouses along with ten grandkids and five great grandsons. After Allen’s death Bev moved into the Clark Fork Riverside apartment where she met many new friends and enjoyed the companionship of a longtime friend, she also enjoyed bingo night and Wii Bowling. Bev was a member of the Bethel Community Church where she loved her church family and the Lord very much. Mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, your contagious smile and love of life will deeply be missed. WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!
A viewing for Bev will be Friday night July 15, 2016 between 4pm and 6pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral home, a service and reception will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday July 16, 2016 at Bethel Community Church.
