MISSOULA ~ Brenda May Burau, 55, of Missoula passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at St Patrick Hospital, from COVID complications.
She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1965 at Community Hospital to Bea and Gene Burau. Brenda was baptized at Atonement Lutheran Church and eventually became an active member in the church. She went to school at Russell elementary and graduated from Sentinel High School in 1985. Brenda was a member of the Missoula Special Olympics and was very competitive in her younger years. She once qualified for the World games in North Carolina competing in golf. She was part of the Opportunity Resources Inc. family until her passing.
Brenda enjoyed many things in her life. Music, dancing,The Griz!!, Elvis Presley was her favorite performer followed by Dolly Parton but her other passion was watching professional wrestling. She was most happy being around her family and friends or making new friends. Playing games was always on the list of activities at family gatherings. She would get a huge grin on her face when winning but was a little grumpy on a loss. Her hugs were a must and she constantly would profess her love to those around her.
Thank you to the community in which Brenda walked. She was loved by many and helped by too many to list separately. The family thanks you all for your compassion and caring.
