ROSEVILLE, CA ~ Caryl Louise Klein, 86, formerly of Missoula, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 in Roseville, California.
Caryl was born in Spokane, Washington to Cary and Louise Heth on November 21, 1938. She attended the University of Idaho where she met the love of her life, Douglas Klein, on a blind date, and later married on August 29, 1958.
A beloved mother and grandmother, Caryl was a dedicated community pillar known for her commitment to many organizations, including P.E.O. (a philanthropic educational organization), the Missoula Children’s Theater, the University of Montana Arts and Odyssey and the Missoula Symphony. Caryl also loved to golf, play bridge and travel with her family.
Caryl was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Douglas Klein, who passed away October, 2024 and one son, Richard Klein, February, 2013.
She is survived by her two children, Steven Klein and daughter-in-law Laurie Klein, and daughter, Laura (Klein) Duffin and son-in-law, Gregg Duffin. Caryl was a very proud grandmother of six, Mitchell, Alysse, Kyle, Marina, Mikayla and Monique, along with two great grandchildren, Iylah and Elsie. She is also survived by her sister, Cathy (Heth) Shrader and husband, Bud Shrader. Caryl will be deeply missed for her kindness, generosity and infectious spirit.
The family will have a private service held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula.
