FRENCHTOWN ~ Donald Kenneth Zuraff, 79, of Frenchtown, passed away on Monday, August 9th, 2021, at St. Patrick Hospital of natural causes.
Donald ‘Donnie’ was born on June 22, 1942, in Bismarck, North Dakota to Henry and Mildred Zuraff. He loved his long-time job working construction and always had a knack for remembering the smallest of details from his jobs – even 30 years later!
On October 23, 1964, Donnie married the love of his life, Diana Rohrich in Menoken, North Dakota. Shortly after in 1967, the couple moved to Frenchtown, Montana.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he enjoyed his time with family, especially when he was teaching them new skills or enjoying a delicious meal together. Donnie enjoyed building bird houses, woodworking in his shop, and swinging on his swing while visiting with family, friends, and neighbors. He always reminded folks to keep it on all four when they were leaving.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mildred Zuraff, and three of his brothers, Harold, Howard, and Ronnie. Survivors include his wife, Diana; son, Jeff (Amie); son, Kenneth; daughter, Shawna (Brent); 9 grandchildren (Justin, Jordan, Ally, Hannah, Nicole, Chloe, Tyler, Trevor, Tanner); 4 great grandchildren (Brayden, Tru, Delilah, and Edgar); brother, Dennis (Edda); brother, Dean (Diana); and sister, Dorothy Young.
Services will be on Friday, August 13th at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, at 1pm. Burial will follow. There will be a celebration of life at the funeral home afterwards.
Pallbearers will be Justin Zuraff, Jordan Zuraff, Brent Smith, Tyler Smith, David Highley, and Mark Rohrich.
