Elizabeth Ann (Purvis) Firestien

Elizabeth Ann (Purvis) Firestien, 89, of Missoula, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at Bee Hive Homes in Missoula.

Elizabeth was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Galeton, Colorado. She lived most of her life in Colorado before moving to Montana in 2005.

Although Elizabeth’s goal to celebrate her 90th birthday was not realized, she took great pride in her long life. Elizabeth worked for years as a licensed practical nurse.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Theresa Ann Johnson of Missoula; a granddaughter Jennifer Elizabeth Harmon and great-granddaughter Emma Elizabeth Harmon both of Mesa, Arizona; a sister Sadie Mae Schraeder and numerous nieces, nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Leo Firestien, her parents, six brothers and three sisters.

A celebration of life gathering is planned for 2017 in Colorado.
