MISSOULA ~ James “Jim” Allen Klier, 72, of Missoula, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at home of pneumonia.
He was born on July 4, 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was raised by his parents, Maynard and Ruth, on a farm near Bisbee, ND. After graduating high school in 1967, he attended college in Bottineau.
Before starting his career as a truck driver, he worked for Towner County in Bisbee. He lived in Bemidji, MN and Northwood, ND before moving to Missoula, MT in 1984.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Vickie of Missoula, MT; daughter Jody of Valley City, ND; son Jeff (Christina) and granddaughters Lucy and Lola of Granbury; and brother David (Michelle) of Fargo, ND.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
The family appreciated support provided by the American Cancer Society and encourage any donations made in his honor.
Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Missoula.
