MISSOULA ~ Joseph Everett “Kokomoe” Howard, 51, of Missoula, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Joey entered this world on January 21, 1974 to Sharon Lee Hendrickson and Everett Thomas Howard. He attended Big Sky High School, where he played basketball and football. He then obtained his master’s degree in accounting from the University of Montana.

Joey loved playing and watching sports.  He had also made it to the nationals in Judo.and loved cooking, fishing, camping and doing anything outdoors close to the river is where Joey spent most of his free time.  He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Joey’s special laughter would always catch your ear. You could never win a debate or argument with Joey because he always had the last word and typically, Joey was right.

Joey is survived by his wife, Lee Anne Magee; son, Everett Howard; brothers, Dennis (Kim) Hendrickson, Jimmy (Cindy) Hendrickson; nieces, Kekela Hendrickson, Hallie Lindesmith and Amber Kerry; nephews, Billy Flesch, Curtis Flesch, Steven Flesch, Nico Christopher and Levi Christopher as well as a large extended family including Charlie Struna and Casey Clevenger and too many friends to name.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, “Granny” Ruth Anne Anderson and nephew, Derek Flesch.

A celebration of Joey’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Franklin Park. A potluck style lunch will follow.

Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Missoula.
