Larry Gene Plaster
Larry Gene Plaster, 62, of Missoula, passed away Friday November 29, 2019 at Clark Fork
Valley Hospital in Plains, MT after battling a long time illness.
He was born on April 23, 1957 in Missoula to Bobby Plaster and Rosa Lee DeSart. He
attended elementary school in Missoula and graduated from Hellgate High School.
In 1983 Larry became a member of alcoholics anonymous. On July 27th, 1985, he
married Debora Jean Gast. Debora had a daughter, Brandy, and they became a family of three.
In 1986, Larry graduated from the University of Montana as a heavy equipment operator.
He immediately became employed at the Missoula Street Department. He retired from there in
2010 due to illness.
Debbie and Larry welcomed their first daughter Karrie Leigh on June 26th, 1987. The
couples second daughter Kayla Rae arrived on March 28th, 1989. He loved his girls, they were
the light of his life.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and taking long drives in the mountains with his family.
Every summer they would take a trip to Holland Lake where Larry and his family would picnic
and catch frogs.
Survivors include his wife Debora, Missoula, two daughters and their families, Karrie
(Tony) Lerback, Missoula, and Kayla (Joseph) Johannson, Missoula; Step-daughter Brandy
Lavoie, Miaaoula; grandchildren, Colin, Harley, Brayden, Sophia, Raeleigh, Christopher and
Aeriel; one sister Janet (Doug) Schott, Stevensville, MT; niece Jessie Schott; one nephew Ryan
Schott.

Johannson at Parkside Federal Credit Union to help with end of life costs; remaining funds will
go to grandchildren.
