Les Linville, 85, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at home,
of natural causes.
Born in Little Rock, KY to Leslie Clarence Linville Sr. and Margaret Allie Gay, Les was the oldest of four boys. His brothers were O.C., Leroy and Bobby. He called Paris, KY home.
He served bravely in the Navy during the Korean War. Upon his discharge from the service, he moved to Chicago, IL, where he met his wife Antoinette (Tony), and married on May 1, 1959. During his married life, he raised two stepchildren, Virginia (Ginny) and Roy (Eddie).
He enjoyed membership in both the Masonic Lodge and Fraternal Order of Moose, holding many offices. Les was always smiling, and always ready to help his Lodge and friends. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Margaret and Leslie Sr., Tony, Eddie, O.C., Leroy and Bobby predeceased him. Survivors include his stepdaughter Virginia Cass (Brian), two grandchildren, Rebecca (Amar) Harouz and Elizabeth as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:00 pm on Monday September 11, 2017. Services will be at 1:00 pm, followed immediately by interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences for Les’ family may be left at www.sunsetfuneralhomecemetery.com
