MISSOULA ~ Marcia LaMoyne Seymour, 78, of Missoula Montana, passed away on Tuesday May 25th, 2021 at her home, of natural causes, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was born April 10, 1943 in Missoula Montana to John & Eva Seitz.
She graduated from Missoula County High School in 1961, and then went on to marry Gary Kent Seymour on November 30, 1963.
She worked for the local telephone company before she and Gary started a family and a small farm at their home on Harpers Bridge Road.
Marcia dedicated her life for 18 years to her special needs daughter Paula, who was diagnosed with a very rare disease and was not likely to live much past five years of age.
Marcia loved everything living, she extended herself and her home to anything and everything that needed it including, dogs, cats, birds, flowers, and plants. She especially enjoyed Lilacs, Violets, Shamrocks, Carnations, her Amazon Parrot “Bill” and her Cockatoo “Kitty”.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John & Eva Seitz, her husband, Gary Kent Seymour and her daughter, Paula Marie Seymour.
She is survived by her 2 sons, John Seymour of Missoula, Steve (Shanda) Seymour of Stevensville, 2 brothers, Larry (Mary Anne) Seitz of Great Falls, Wayne Seitz of Missoula, 2 Sisters, Kathy May of Missoula, Doreen Whitney of Salt Lake City, 3 Grandchildren, Miranda, Eric & Ryan Seymour of Missoula, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Her graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montana Special Olympics.
A reception will be held at Marcia’s house immediately after.
