Neil V Bruun

Neil V. Bruun, 78, passed away at his home on November 19, 2017. Neil was born on September 5, 1939 to George and Wilma Bruun in Potlatch, ID. He attended grade school in Potlatch and later moved to Lewiston, MT where he graduated high school. After high school he enlisted in the US Army as a welder. He married Cornelia “Connie” Mendenhall on March 9, 1959. Neil worked in Missoula for many years as a millwright for Smurfit-Stone Container.
Neil enjoyed hunting, riding his snowmobile and motorcycle, playing the guitar and harmonica and had a great sense of humor. He loved his wife and children and cherished the time they spent together.
Neil is preceded in death by his parents and two sons; George Virgil and Neil Dennis Bruun.
He is survived by his loving wife Connie, daughters; Joy Geiger, Anna Augustine (Todd), Bonnie Hartley (Gleen), Trudy Wade (fiancé Dave), Judy Isaacson (fiancé Jim), 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 12pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 7405 Mullan Rd.
