Pamela B Nybo

MISSOULA ~ Pamela Babcock Nybo, 79, of Missoula, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Community Medical Center in Missoula of natural causes.

Pam was born July 28, 1945 in Missoula to Dr. Daniel W. and June Babcock. As a young girl, she rode horses with her friends and was a thespian at Sentinel High School. She attended the University of Montana studying business education and business administration.

Pam married the love of her life, Leonard P. Nybo in 1976 and they spent 29 years together until Len’s passing in 2005. She and Len had many adventures together with the most notable vacations to Switzerland and Hawaii. Pam was the most wonderful mother to her children, Andrea and Perry, whom she loved very much and had many special times with. In 2006, Pam met her special friend, Ben Larango, and they spent the next 14 years together, loving to spend time at Ben’s cabin until his passing in 2019.

After college, Pam worked for law firms and a national brokerage firm, Dean Witter Reynolds. She then turned her financial expertise into running her own business, Nybo Financial Services, until her retirement in 2021. She also volunteered at Crimestoppers and Kiwanis. She loved bowling, playing pool, cornhole and walking the parks. To all her friends, she was a force of nature and loved to win. She also had a fondness for animals and loved all her fur-babies very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard; special friend, Ben and her sister Susie A. Babcock.

Pam is survived by one daughter, Andrea Hart; one son, Perry (Breanne) Nybo and one grandson, Tanner Nybo, all of Missoula.

A Celebration of Pam’s life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Missoula.
