HUSON ~ Paul Edgar Deschamps 57, of Huson sadly passed away on Thursday Sept 29th.
He was born on July 13th, 1965, in Missoula, MT. He graduated from Frenchtown High school in 1984 and played football for Frenchtown, he was part of the 1983 state championship team. After high school he moved to Seattle to work for his uncle Morton at Kimballs autobody and tire shop and to pursue his music career and during that time he also became a Journeyman Electrician.
Paul worked in the Electrical field for several years, he married Christine Gaines in 1994 in Tacoma WA. Through that marriage he and Christine became proud parents of two beautiful daughters Mariah and Macey. Paul moved back to Montana, continuing to work in the Electrical field then decided to get his Class A CDL to follow his Stepfather Hap’s and his two brother’s footsteps in the truck driving world. He later became employed at the Frenchtown Elementary School, which led him to the job at Frenchtown High school. He often said he had his dream job right here at Frenchtown High school and was so proud to be a Bronc for life. He loved to work with the kids. He coached football at the high school for a short time, he sang the national anthem at many sporting events, and announced home games for soccer, volleyball, and basketball as well. Paul proudly boasted that he bled orange and black.
In 2004 he met Amy Williams and through the relationship they had Kathrine (Kat).
In 2014 Paul rekindled his relationship with high school sweetheart Molly Reynolds.
He loved all his daughters immensely and all his girls inherited his quirkiness. His relationship with his daughter” Kat” was very special, it was as if they were the same person. Some of Kat’s fondest memories are the fun car rides and long conversations she had with her dad, they talked literally about everything. When around each other they were always messing around and laughing. They both shared a great love for Karaoke, Elvis and “the Hulk”. Molly’s granddaughter Rylee had a special relationship with Paul. We always wondered if she had a crush on him, she was always concerned, making sure he was ok if Molly was visiting her in Spokane.
Paul’s family and friends, past and present, meant the world to him. He was a loving partner, Father, Brother, Friend and just recently Grandfather. He was so excited to be a grandpa and couldn’t wait to meet his Granddaughter Caroline. He truly was a friend to all that knew him. His smile lit up the room when he walked in, and his quirky jokes could make anyone laugh. His love of music led him to be the lead singer in several Bands the latest being Three Cord Junkies.
He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Deschamps and Mother Mary Thompson and stepfather Alden “Hap” Thompson.
Survivors include, the love of his life, Molly Reynolds, Huson; daughter Tara, (Ian); Granddaughter Rylee, Spokane WA. and his children, Mariah Deschamps (Juston) granddaughter Caroline, Fort Collins Co.
