ROSEMARY CALVERI March 22, 1926 – October 29, 2017
Rosemary (Lack, Fahlsing) Calveri passed away peacefully at Village Healthcare Center in Missoula on October 29, 2017.
Rosemary was the daughter of Joseph and Esther Lack, born on March 22, 1926, and raised on a cattle ranch outside of Lisbon, North Dakota. She was the youngest of three children; sister, Bernadette Weber and brother Clement Lack, both deceased.
After graduating from Lisbon High School, she went to Sherman, Texas, and attended two years of business school at Austin College in Sherman.
She married Duane Fahlsing in 1949 and gave birth to three children: Beth (Ron) Hanson of Bend, Oregon, Ann (Mike, deceased) Hogan of Missoula, and Marc Fahlsing, also of Missoula. Rosemary also had 5 grandchildren: Holly, Michael, Blair, Jill and Michelle, as well as seven great grandchildren.
In 1976, she married Jim Calveri, and they spent many enjoyable years as snowbirds between Mesa, Arizona and Missoula. She retired in 1986 from a 25 year career with the U.S. Forest Service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, both siblings, and her husband, Jim.
Rosemary loved her family, gardening, dancing, and friends. But next to family, her greatest joy came from playing duplicate bridge. One of her greatest memories is winning two national and district bridge contests with her favorite bridge partners.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to Consumer Direct Care Network, and the very professional caregivers who made Rosemary feel at peace during her last few weeks on earth.
Rosemary requested that there be no memorial service. Instead, a small gathering of her family and close friends will be held at a later date. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.sunsetfuneralhomecemetery.com
