MISSOULA ~ Shelby Lorena Eve, 24, of Missoula, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Community Medical Center, of Ovarian Cancer.
She was born on May 3, 1998, in Great Falls, to loving parents Tim and Stacey Eve. As a child, Shelby attended Meadowlark Elementary School where she played both volleyball and basketball. She continued to play volleyball while attending North Middle School, and went on to graduate from C.M. Russell High School in 2016 where she sang in the Chanson, Convert, and Chaconne choirs. After graduation, Shelby moved to Bozeman to attend the Academy of Cosmetology, where she graduated in 2017. Shelby moved with her family to Missoula in 2018. She most recently worked as a Hairdresser at The Do Crew Salon in Missoula and loved the creativity her profession allowed. She quickly built up a strong clientele and always knew how to make anyone sitting in her chair feel beautiful.
Shelby was engaged to the love of her life, Christopher Mason, of Missoula, and they lived together with their dog, Millie. While receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Chris worked with all of Shelby’s favorite nurses to arrange the most beautiful proposal. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight and Shelby’s smile lit up the entire hallway.
Shelby loved spending time with her friends and family, playing with her dog, Millie, and was always down for a full re-watch of The Office (even if it was her 17th time).
She was the sweetest girl in the world, with an enormous heart for all animals. She rarely passed by a dog or kitty without stopping to pet. Shelby was always picking up lost dogs on the side of the road and returning them home. She would go above and beyond for anyone she loved.
Shelby is survived by her parents, Tim and Stacey Eve; sister, Shea Eve; fiancé, Christopher Mason; fur baby, Millie; grandparents Jean and Mary Ellen Eve, M
erle Stevens and Keith Goodhart, Karyl and Dave Tobel; aunts Katie Goodhart, Cindy Eve, Susan Eve, Val Eve, Cassie Eldridge; uncles Joseph Eve (Melanie Eve), Jon Eve, Taylor Goodhart, Kelley Goodhart, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Mike Eve; cousin, Josi Eve; and beloved pets, Taffy and Cupcake.
