MISSOULA ~ Vivian Kay Wilson, 81, of Missoula, passed away Saturday, February 10th at her home of natural causes.

She was born February 18, 1942, in Sidney, Montana to Luella and Harold Hafemann. As a baby, she was born with club foot, and the doctors told her parents that she would never walk.  That's when her stubbornness and feisty spirit started, and she was going to prove them wrong!  She always said, “where there's a will there's a way,” and she found it. She was fiercely independent and was willing to take on any project: Building houses, painting, remodeling, or any repairs that needed done.  She had endless energy and didn’t understand the words “I can’t.”

Vivian married the love of her life, Clarence, in 1961 and started building the foundation of the family we have today.

She was always there for her family when they were in need.  She put everybody else first.  She gave help with fixing things, money, her car (more than once!), advice, or an ear.   You always knew that if you asked her opinion you were going to get the brutally honest truth! Most of all, she gave an example of what strength looks like.  She was the glue for her family.

Vivian loved yard sales, camping, puzzles, and traveling back to “the farm.”

Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those she left behind.  Survivors include son Curtis Wilson, daughter Cheryl (Keith) Armstrong, son Roger (Nikki) Wilson, daughter Sandy Shoen, granddaughter / daughter Sarina (Karin) Wilson. Also, numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids.

In addition, four sisters and four brothers.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, parents Harold and Luella Hafemann, brother Ralph Hafemann, and her sister-in-law Diane Hafemann.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Missoula.  Private burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens,

Arrangements are under the care of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Missoula.
