Obituary for Warren "Mt Bare Paw" Hutcheson

Warren "MT Bare Paw" Hutcheson, 80, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, in East Missoula. He was born in Missoula, oldest son to Karl and Eunice Hutcheson.

Warren married Libby Freedle in 1956 and together had four children. In 1997, he married Valetta, and happily gained a stepdaughter to complete his family.

Warren’s strong passions in life were music, dancing, cars, friends and family. His hands were an amazing feature. They were enormous from all the years of body work yet he could play the fiddle and guitar with ease. He was always there to lend a helping hand at any time.

Warren was an avid Grizzly and Lady Grizzly fan, attending the Grizzly football game the day before his passing. He had spent Sunday with the fiddlers, playing and singing, then dining at his favorite restaurant, The Reno.

He is survived by his wife, Valetta; his children, Randy (Shelley) of Missoula, Karl (Jaryn) of Lawrence, Georgia, Kim (Bill) of Missoula, Bryan (Sara) of Great Falls and stepdaughter Mary (Ryan) of Missoula; grandchildren, Shane, Steve, Luke, Jessica, Samantha, Ayla, Logan, Levi, Hailey, Matthew, Gabriel and Samantha; sisters, Lucy (Darrell) and Nancy; brothers, Alfred, Allen (Billie), Roy and Donald; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Warren’s life and a potluck will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the East Missoula Community Center. Everyone is welcome – please bring a favorite dish and a favorite story to share.
