Obituary for Winifred Lee Brown

Winifred (Lee) Brown was called home on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, with her family by her side. Lee was born in Valentine, Nebraska, the seventh child of 13 to William and Winifred (Read) Foster.

She married the love of her life William R. Brown on Sept. 19, 1952. Together they raised five children in Omaha, Nebraska, then moved to Missoula, settling on their property just outside of Missoula. Together they enjoyed racing stock cars and Go Karts in Omaha and dancing — they were know to be quite smooth on the floor. She also enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts with her sister and anyone else. They also did mini horse showings.

Later in life she and her husband were guided down the path of fostering more than 70 children and adopting their sixth child, Jeralee.

With a warm smile, and a pure heart she was a blessing to all the lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, son Billy and Grandson Roger Jr., three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son Bob (Elaine), daughters Belva (Martin) Doris, Sally (Roger) and Jeralee (Kelly); 18 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16th at The Outdoorsman Church-12208 Pulpmill Road, Missoula, 59808 with a reception to follow.
